HS35M Hollow Shaft Encoder 

The new MagCoder HS35M from NorthStar Technologies is a hollow shaft digital encoder which is ideal for motor and machine applications. RIM Tach 8500

This is a bearingless mill duty tachometer that provides easy mounting on an 8.5" C-face motor:

·  Cast iron housing

·  Cast steel sensor modules with sealed latching Epic connectors that use screw terminals for all wiring

·  Steel pulse wheel is mounted to the motor shaft.

·  Accepts 1 or 2 sensor modules (2 means 2 independent outputs, like one for speed feedback to the drive and the other for instrumentation)

·  Pulse rates range from 60 to 1200 PPR (pulses per revolution) and you can add a marker pulse (one per revolution).

RIM Tach 6200

This is a mill duty tachometer designed for 56C face or foot mounting with up to 2048PPR:

RIM Tach 8500 Quad

This is essentially the same tach as the bearingless 8500, but it allows the use of up to 4 sensor modules for those cases where more than two separate output signals are required. The current practice is to mount two tachs, back-to-back, to solve the problem and that means adding considerable length - several feet - to the motor. With the RIM Tach 8500 Quad it"s done in one housing that"s only about 2.5" deep!

SLIM Tach® SL56

This is a rugged. bearingless tach in a very slim package. It has one sensor module, but can be sandwiched with second tach if two independent outputs are required.  This tach is only ¾" thick and mounts directly to a 4.5" C-face flange (56C).

This tach is very similar to the SL56. It is also a bearingless design, but for larger motors and mounts to an 8.5" C-face (180C). It is only 1.125" thick and has one sensor.

HS56 Hollow Shaft Encoder

The hollow shaft design solves a couple of tough installation problems: no surface to mount the tach to (it may not even be a motor you want to measure the rotational speed of) or a motor that is out of NEMA spec for shaft movement.  It is also very easy to install: add a 5/8" stubshaft through the motor"s fan shroud, slide the tach onto the stubstaft, tighten a set-screw and affix the anti-rotation arm. It uses one sensor.

·  Oversized motor-type bearing assures long life
