三螺杆泵主要是由固定在泵体中的衬套 （ 泵缸 ） 以及安插在泵缸中的主动螺杆和与其啮合的两根从动螺杆所组成。三根互相 啮合的螺杆，在泵缸内按每个导程形成为一个密封腔，造成 吸排口之间的密封
三螺杆泵工作时，由于两从动螺杆与主动螺杆左右对称啮合， 故作用在主动螺杆上的径向力*平衡，主动螺杆不承受弯 曲负荷。从动螺杆所受径向力沿其整个长度都由泵缸衬套来支承，因此，不需要在外端另设基本上也不承受弯曲负荷。在运行中，螺杆外圆表面和泵缸内壁之间形成的一层油膜，可防止金属之间的直接接触，使螺杆齿面的磨损大大减少。
尽管三螺杆泵有诸多优势，但若选型不当，则不仅得不到满意的运行效果，而且会导致泵的噪音和振动，甚至严重损坏泵的内部零件，使泵系统 不能正常工作，因此，选型人员应多方慎重考虑，合理选型 ，必要时应向我公司技术部门咨询。三螺杆泵选型时，要尽可能详尽地了解泵的使用条件，除了运行参数，如流量 ，压力需要清楚以外，输送介质的特性如介质的腐蚀性，含汽量，含固溶物的比率及固体颗粒的大小，以及介质的工作温度，粘度，比重，对材料的腐蚀性等和泵装置的吸入条件，安装条件均要了解。

螺杆泵的日常操作和使用注意事项 
一、螺杆泵日常操作方法 
1、监控并记录生产数据和电流（安培数）；
2、生产稳定后，测量动液面；
3、监控并记录油压：
（1）如果盘根漏油严重，只需轻轻紧一下盘根盒扳手；
（2）如果保持低套管压力不会出现气锁，且能保持泵效；
（3）如果油压和电流出现波动，说明泵的运行为绑缚—放松状态。主要原因是砂进入泵体过多并沉积。可将光杆拉出3米（到达接箍），再反冲洗泵体；
（4）如果电流升高但产量下降，意味着结蜡，可采用热洗同时监控动液面；
（5）检查传动轴箱的润滑油面。平时无需加油，有渗漏时再加油。应使用相当于车用润滑油TM626的产品；
（6）如需更换盘根，只要更换上面五只盘根。无严重渗漏则不需更换；
（7）使用一年后，应为电机加润滑油；
（8）使用6个月后，应更换传动轴箱润滑油，并依次类推；
（9）如产量斜线递减，则问题应该在于定子和转子出现磨损，可采用加大转速的方法直到产量恢复；（可加大到450RPM）（可更换电机皮带轮）
二、安全注意事项
1、不要将光杆拉出驱动头顶部超过60厘米；
2、如需将转子拉出定子进行反冲洗时，在拉起光杆时必须确定全部工作人员离开一定距离，并没有任何工具（如扳手）留在光杆上，直到转子全部拉出定子；
3、需更换皮带轮时，必须先固定光杆；
4、不应使用任何化学药剂或稀释清洗剂除蜡（如化学清蜡剂、汽油、柴油等），可使用热洗（水、油
5、在没有足够液量时，勿开泵（泵体缺乏散热和润滑），有可能停泵或砂堵管线。
