双螺杆泵和三螺杆泵单螺杆泵的选型步骤有所不同，

1.双螺杆泵和三螺杆泵zui大的区别就是双螺杆泵能输送各种具有流动性的液体和没有流动性的固体，介质润滑性的好坏对于双螺杆泵来说显得就不是那么的重要，对输送有腐蚀性的介质我们将采用不锈钢材质为客户订制适合您现场使用产品，国产的三螺杆泵和双螺杆泵相比就显得比较娇贵，三螺杆泵一般适合输送各种润滑性良好无腐蚀性的介质，对于输送重油，柴油，等润滑性差的介质三螺杆泵就要采用外置机械密封，尽管外置机械密封是避免了因为磨损而造成机械密封漏油的情况发生，但是避免不了螺杆与螺杆摩擦，*输送润滑性差介质，会使螺杆磨损 ，就会造成泵的压力上不去，流量损失等，对三螺杆泵的使用寿命造成严重威胁。

2.双螺杆泵输送的流量范围广，从1 m3/h到8600 m3/h，而三螺杆泵的流量1m3/h到600m3/h，所以在许多油田上用大流量原油输送泵和船舶上用主机润滑泵，货油泵三螺杆泵很少被列入设计院选型范围之内。

3.双螺杆泵能承受的温度范围广，从~20°C到500°C，而三螺杆泵承受的温度范围~10°C到200°C。
